E-mail-MarketingLately, I have witnessed many guest posts online claiming the importance and benefits of having an e-mail list of subscribers. Yes, indeed – no doubt that e-mail marketing is indefinitely very important when it comes to making money online today but how can one really yield success out from having a list of e-mail subscribers? You have a list of  5,453* email addresses, now how do you go about benefiting from it? What is the fundamental knowledge you ought to know eventually when you want to make sure that you reap the fullest potential out from e-mail marketing?

Subsequently, does time really matter when it comes to e-mail marketing? Has anyone actually thought about the idea of ‘timing’ in such context? Or do you go about sending e-mails whenever you please and wish?

When it comes to writing an e-mail, we are often so engaged in figuring out what the ‘best’ subject line should be, what sort of calls to action you should apply within, what sort of information that would most likely intrigue your potential customers with, that you overlooked the fact that sometimes, a lack of response is just simply a matter of timing.

Access, Access, Access

Speaking of timing, I believe there is subsequently no ‘one-time’ that is certain of increasing the rate of your e-mail response effectively for every act.  Traditional to say, many would go about claiming that it all ‘depends’ on one’s judgment based on results you have progressively obtain throughout the time you proceed on with email marketing.

This inevitable is a very sound planning and really, nothing beats the idea of going through past insights, harness those data and come up with a graph that depicts averagely when will be the best time for you to send that e-mail you have typed out. Watching as how a pattern will eventually derived out from your past 6 months sending e-mails can significantly give you an idea of when will be the best time you should associate email marketing with for a greater response conversion.

So, this is practically what you need to do for yourself. If you have been working on e mail marketing and results aren’t as positive as you thought it should be, start scouring through some of the past statistic and data to work out a chart or graph. Significantly, you should see how patterns may form that literally tells that timing does matter.

Getting started

What if you are just starting out on email marketing or that you would need a much more solid fundamental basis on the best timing to work on. Getting a great head start within this subject line may provide you with the needed positive optimized result you are seeking to have. In no particular order, the best time you should be sending your emails out is on these days:-

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Weekends – Saturday and Sunday is definitely a big no when it comes to sending out ‘business’ emails because they are most probably away and enjoying the rest of their time with their own personal activities.

On Monday itself – have you heard of Monday blues? – your readers are most probably recovering from their relaxing weekend and at most are not fully in a business mode yet. Eventually, Monday would subsequently be one of the ‘busiest’ days of their time as they may have a number of unfinished tasks at hand that they have subsequently left hanging on during the weekends. With such an idea in mind, you should come into terms that they would most probably not be interested with what you have to offer or solicit with.

On Friday itself – your readers may somewhat be getting ready to wrap it up and making plans for their weekends. Therefore, you do not want your information given to be jumbled and juggled around within the closet of plans and ideas that your readers eventually will make. Priority will be given to their personal affair and most probably your interesting offer may soon be forgotten.

A.M. or P.M.?

Now that you have an idea of what particular days are best for sending out e-mails, this boils down to the factor of what time of day will benefit your e-mail marketing the most. If you think it’s in the morning, think again.

As a business personal / internet marketer, you would definitely want your message and offer to reach out to your potential customers when they are the most receptive. Many would notice that it is very important that your message pop up when your potential readers are up in front of their computers. That ‘notification’ may intrigue them to find out further what sort of interesting ‘message’ has arrived.

Rather than lining up your email message together with other contradicting emails that are sitting inactively in your reader’s inbox first thing in the morning, after the weekends or after a long holiday, reason is because, it is shown that majority of the people have the habit or somewhat ‘ritual’ of cleaning their inbox first thing in the morning. Do not expect them to go over every message to find out what matters or not. If your e-mail is not significantly what they looking for, most likely your email will end up being part of the ‘sacrificed’ performed in the ‘deleting’ ritual’.

Therefore, subsequently you would want to avoid your messages being part of that. You would want your emails to pop up while they are in the middle of their workday. This will increase the chance for them to halt and pause, taking a moment to go through what there is to read on.

However – do not limit yourself

As a reference, this adequately can be quite useful but you shouldn’t just wait for the ‘perfect’ time or most likely, you will end up not launching any email campaigns. Do your best in analyzing and picking on the best choice to act. Don’t be too obsess and limit yourself as you only would end up jeopardizing your efforts. Be selective but select wisely.

Good post, sending an email in the middle of their work day is good. I personally have better luck sending them out in the PM. I like what you said at the end.. Be selective, but wisely. Take action but don’t stare and think for too long.
